Hi there

I purchased an OEM E6300 from OcUK, but you dont get the snazzy little case sticker as I would presume you get in the retail versions..

So anyone know where I can get hold of one to stick onto my coolermaster silver widow case ?

This chip is amazing, I only have it at 330fsb (2.31GHz) at the moment and it's (touch wood) really stable. Really impressed.

Si.

Should do more than 2.3 :) First one i touched did 3Ghz on stock, same as my 6400 ES. A popular auction site might have your badge.

my ram seems to be holding me back (GSKILL 2GBLA DDR2-667 set)

I need VDIMM at 0.1v to even get 330fsb stable (even though this ram is supposed to be rated at 1.8v). Anything over 340fsb is failing to post, even with upping vcore/fsb/vdimm etc.

You can import a Core 2 Duo sticker using a certain auction site for a couple of quid.

that'll teach you to buy an intel, all AMD retails come with a sticker for extra speed, lol
Retail Intels also come with a sticker. Atleast read the post before trying to be smart

Intel are extremely protective of their image and name.
We actually deal with Intel where I work (only recently and can't really go into what we do together) however a lot of paperwork went in both directions before we started the relationship we are in now.
There is so little you can do with the name etc.

As you've discovered the OEM CPU's don't come with stickers.
If you contact Intel directly they won't supply you with one (certainly didn't used to even if you could prove you'd bought the product).
You can buy stickers from EBay - they are fake, but I doubt anybody will notice the difference.

You are right we very protective of our brands, even more so when it comes to things like Centrino, where you have to go through online verification. We do supply CPU logo's, but only to sytem integrators who have registered with us. There must be a lot of you out there with this problem, dont buy them from Ebay, let me have a chat with Gibbo on Monday, we might be able to come up with a solution for everyone between us.

Nice one - that'll make some OEM owners/buyers very happy.
And if it keeps money out of the pockets of people on EBay who do sell fake items all the better!

I don't really see what the problem is with 'faked' stickers. If they look the same, they are the same. We're not talking about hardware here.

I guess you mean an ATC designed case when you say the silver widow... why would you want to put a sticker on one of the best cases ever made?

yep the atc 201.

fantastic case, just used it to build my e6300 based rig.

thought about changing the case before i did the upgrade, but so glad i didnt now. really well built, i hear coolermaster have gone into decline some what with regard to build quality these days ?

I got an ATC 201 :)
Bloody amazing case, I've had it for years and it is still going strong.
I paid a small fortune for it at the time (difficult decision as the money spent on this case alone would have made a nice upgrade inside the case).
However build quality is great and although I was tempted to at last change this case when I was pricing up my Conroe upgrade I decided not to and I'm pleased.
