Since the release of C2D, AMD have reduced the prices of pretty much all their cpus in order to combat the threat of the C2D. It seems rather than make a cpu that can compete in terms of speed (which they cant seem to) they have chosen to fight Intel on price.

I remember when C2D was being previewed, many people talked about amd bringing out their own quad core cpu, however, Ive not heard anything further? Have they canned this quad core cpu or is it still on the cards?
