Apparently this chip is meant to be hitting retail within the next couple of weeks, yet there's been hardly any fanfare.

The new CPU will work at 2.53GHz, it has 3MB cache memory and a 1,066MHz FSB. Check out the LegitReview here which shows just how much potential it has in terms of overclocking (they got their one to 3.8GHz!)

Another positive review, this time from Techgage.

Simply put, the E7200 is an absolutely fantastic processor. It's fast, inexpensive and is capable of tearing through all of our benchmarks with relative ease. Despite its low-end status, it's even perfectly suited for gamers, as evidenced by our four games. When the E7200 delivers identical results at 2560x1600 as our QX9770 does... that says something.

Nowadays, it's hard to make a wrong decision with your CPU purchase, but if you are building a new machine and can hold off until the E7200's launch, you won't regret it. All-around, it's a fantastic choice.

Can't wait to get one myself! :)
