Core 2 Duo Help!

Hey Guys.

Need some advice! I've got a shuttle with this motherboard ASUS P5VD2-MX. Can someone tell me if this can take a Core 2 Duo, if so what Core 2 Duo can I put on it.

Also looking at upgrading the memory to 2x1GB DDR2 Modules, also stuck there on what to get and what the Motherboard will take.

Excellent Find! What do you suggest I do. Flash to an updated BIOS something i'm not really comfortable with as it's the only PC that I have or Purchase a Pentium D.

easy to flash bios with the asus update prog takes a minute and finds bios for you.used it other day and pretty straight forward and im a noob

Yeah, it used to be a right pain in the bum, but its not now. Nice and easy.

I'll have to see what BIOS version it's shipped with when I take delivery of it on Monday, Tuesday. Hopefully it won't need a flash but if so I am prepared to flash it so that I can eventually pop a Core 2 Duo in.

What Core 2 Duo would you all suggest for my Cube, I am on a budget of £100, decent enough for casual Halo 2 Gaming Vista, Shadow Run Vista etc.
