Core 2 duo or amd3 for server whats the min requirement for power supply

i was thinking of making a server ...core 2 duo or amd 3 ...only want a low power supply is 300 ok for this or do i need higher thanks...i have bits lying around ...was thinking of a microserver ....but my thinking is i only need a case and power supply...is this a good idea thanks.

just for file and media sharing....to my media boxes...laptops...ps3...xbox360

thanks ...ill go look into that now...as much as i like the microserver just doesnt seem to be fast enough ...what cooler are you using......is it a low profile one thanks

they can take 4 drives aswell...makes them appealing...gonna go look again see if i can find a good deal on one lol
