Hi i have overclcocked my Core 2 Duo i was wondering could someone tell when you overclock does it take both of the Cores up Example - i have a 1.86ghz and i overclocked to 2.1ghz does that mean that its 2.1ghz per core or does it distribute it fairly over both of them. Thanks Ross1308

Each core runs at 1.86GHz
If you overclock then each core runs at the overclocked speed, ie 2.1GHz
If you have programs like 3D modeling or rendering that are multi-thread aplications then they will run on both at up to 2.1GHz, being the same as 1 CPU at 4.2GHz.
But most aps are single thread, so they will only run at 2.1GHz, but if you have a dual CPU then you can have 2 programs (one on each core) running at 2.1GHz each!

Hope that helps
