Core 2 Quad Q9450 Yorkfield for $319

The Q9450 will be the cheapest Yorkfield Quad with a 12 MB cache
according to Fudzilla the projected US price will be $319, god knows
what the UK price will be but I expect a lot more! It's Due January 2008.

Yorkfield Core 2 Quad / Q9450 / 45 nm / 2.67 clock / 1333 fsb / 12 MB cache.

Personally I think you're looking around £200, or just over. It's generally a case of halving the price in dollars and adding on a chunk for our tax.

Them prices are for each chip in a group of 1,000 units so they will cost even more at retail.

Then you have to add the delivery cost from where ever they come from and then a bit more on top that the retailer wants.

Intel price for Q6600 per 1000 = $266

Retail Q6600's currently sell for $280 in the US, we pay approx £170 for a retail Q6600 which is roughly 30 quid more than the US price
using the same rough calculations for a Q9450 at $319 per 1000, add around a $20 mark up to the US price & you get $340 US add say
40 quid more for the UK price and you get £210. so I recon your price is not far off mate.

hmm do i really need to buy this chip if i already have a quad at 3.6ghz ?????
seems a waste of money then again if its going to help me out in crysis then hmm lol
