Core Center prob

The CPU Fan section on core centre is flashing at 680odd RPM, and flashing red. is there anything I can do?

athlon 4200 AM2 - stock
MSI K9A platinum board

Sounds like the fan speed is controlled by temperature, and since your PC is at idle it only needs to spin slowly to keep the chip cool. Nothing to worry about.

the temps are around high 30's low 40's as i'm running SETI constantly, so that's throttling it. would that speed be ok?
