Core count showing as two on my Q6600

Temps were a little bit high so I reseated the HS and when i powered the PC on the POST shows the count as two. Core temp also shows only two.

Have I broken it?

I've already tried resetting it mate, albeit with the button on the back and not the battery. I will give that a go now and report back.
 
Removed it and the contacts on the CPU were rather grubby so I cleaned them and put it all back together and now showing as 4 cores.
