core duo E3600 overclocking potential?

Hi guys, new to the forum, first post!

I intend to get a E6300 and overclock it, my friend tells me i can save myself £30 buy getting the 6300 n just over clock it to the sped of the 6400, as it will do it comfortably.

Out of curiosity, what have you guys got out of yours with the stock/ air cooling? we rekon we could get about 2.8 comfortably and 3 at a push?

mint, i expect im correct in assuming, that a aftermarket cooler would allow a little bit more oc potential, what would u recommend?

would you recommend a cpu cooler without a fixed fan? would an exhausting fan at the back be alrite with either of those? bear in mind ill be oc'ing?

Yeh i liek the corsair ram tho as ive used value select in my curent machine and its a brand i know and trust.(xms2 6400 cas 4 2gb kit) Thinking about getting a 6600 conroe now be alrite with the corsair and DS3 yar?
