hey i would love to get my i3 to 4ghz on air :D
im only on the stock cooler atm as i am waiting for my arctic cooler to arrive.
when it does i will oc asap. can you guys tell my what i should do to get to this :). i have corsair ram with the xmp profile selected. i had a quick play in bios and managed to change the base clock to get me to 3.2ghz and i dont want to go any more on the stock cooler.
any help will be appreciated thanks.

On my motherboard all I do is select the xmp profile of the memory and then manually change multiplier and fsb to 23 x 174.

That's it as my motherboard automatically raises the cpu voltage if i overclock.

Pretty straight forward really.

You could probably change to 20 x 200 if you prefer.

My i3 on stock intel cooler near 4Ghz barely reaches 70oc under intel burn test for hours which im told is perfectly acceptable.

Up your clocks little bit at a time run intel burn test for 5 cycles if it fails add touch more volts then try again until you reach a point it either gets too hot or unstable again.

My limit is 1.235vcore 1.2v IMC and 1.5v DRAM any more volts resulted in more heat and no further gains which left me bclock 204x19 or 176x22
