Core i3-6100 vs core i5 3330 ?

Hi guys
Ive been looking at upgrading to a skylake processor however the only cpu currently in my price range ( which also includes the mobo and ddr4 ram ) is the core i3 6100
now my current cpu is the core i5 3330 ivybridge ,so would i see a marked improvement even though i would be moving from a quad core to a dual core ?
in "cpu user benchmark"( http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-3330-vs-Intel-Core-i3-6100/m10vs3511 ) it shows the i3 6100 is significantly faster than my core i5 3330,but who should i believe !
any help will be much appreciated

i will run 3dmark firestrike (standard ) and will post the cpu score ..... ( im also using the MSI R9 270x ) ... and 8gb of ddr3 ram ... cheers

thanks guys .. to be honest i would replace the motherboard if i had the chance,however finding a socket 1155 mobo is next to impossible ... both my systems are lga1155 and here are the specs

Now you will probally be saying change the motherboard from the spare rig to the main rig ... ive thought of this,however im hoping i can find a replacement for the H61 gigabyte board and i will be happy then
to be honest both systems run the majority of games very well,and i was amazed how well the core i3 3220 performed .. thats a excellent cpu especially considering i only payed £35 for it
