Hi all,

I upgraded to an i5 2500 today from an E6850 and I just wondered what people's experiences are with the stock cooler? Mine is extremely noisy and doesn't seem to want to drop from 2400 RPM regardless of temperature or BIOS settings. It's really very whiny. The cores are idling between 30-40'C.

I'm wondering if this is normal for the Sandybridge stock cooler? One of the reasons I upgraded was because I was hoping to decrease noise, not increase!

Im Using the stock cooler on my i7 2600 and the cores idle at about mid 30's and the fan is not noisy at all...
