Core i5-5675C Build.....Advice please

I want to start gaming again. I love ETS2 which i cannot play on a netbook! I love Battlefield, COD etc. I am not aiming high. I am not aiming for high graphical results. I want a system that can play these on my 20" TFT but also has the possibility to have a good Dedicated GPU added at a later date.

Ok, lets say i really wanted to stick with Intel. No dedicated GPU for now, which CPU, MOBO, RAM combo who you suggest going on the fact that i would still like to game with this new setup until i get a dedicated GPU?

If it has to be Intel and you want to play games similar to the ones you've mentioned then I think you had the right idea to start with. The iGPU is considerably better than current Haswell, Haswell-E and Skylake parts. Blows the pants off of AMD's APUs too.

Ok lets say the i5 5675c is £220...

Assuming you don't overclock because you didn't answer that question and the fact a 5675c is crap at overclocking then...

i5 6500 + a GTX 750 ti (low power requirements) will cost only around £30 more than the 5675c

i5 6500 3.6ghz
i5 5675c 3.6ghz

But the i5 6500 will be faster clock for clock. Then you also get to use DDR4 ram for futureproofing, seems crazy buying a setup with DDR3 at this point too.

Thanks RJC. Which board though is the right one with the i5 6500? Is there one available with Wireless built in?

Plus, if going ITX which board would you recommend as i want to keep my options open.

Many thanks

ASRock H170M-ITX/AC

Any board will do if you are not overclocking. ITX boards are usually expensive (that model is too I guess) compared to mATX but when you consider you get Wireless AC then its not too bad. Decent wireless AC cards are expensive!

The Gigabyte below includes WiFi and also can able to overclock K series CPUs but is a lot dearer, you may be better getting one of he boards I linked above and use a external wireless card.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £120.49
(includes shipping: £10.50)

Yea, that is too much for a board for me. If going ITX the Asrock mentioned above looks good. Got to decide itx vs microatx.

Think i am now set on getting the Skylake i5 6500 and the ram you suggested.

Guys, i know AMD APU is the best for integrated GPU but, in your opinion, what is the best Intel integrated CPU/GPU chip other than the expensive i5-5675C.

As you know, i am looking to build a new PC which i can do 'some' gaming on but without a dedicated GPU until January as i will then have money to buy a dedicated GPU.

So, what would you suggest? Should i get an APU now and then get a GPU in January or get an Intel CPU/GPU and buy a dedicated GPU in January?

I do use a PC for many things but nothing tasking except photo editing / Photoshop.

I am leaning towards Intel but need a kick in the right direction really. Would i get a decent Intel to play games until i can get a dedicated GPU in January? Also, i am unsure now whether to go ITX or MATX..............!
