I think underclock is the right term... anyway I am trying to get my i5 to 4.6ghz stable and I thought I was getting there, until LinX returned an error after 16 runs. I thought it was weird, and i realised it was because the clock had dropped from 4.65ghz (99x47) to 3.3-3.5ghz (99x34-35).
I thought it had just returned to stock clock, however it hadn't because the multiplier actually jumped up to 36 and 37 at some points while browsing after that. I checked the BIOS and all the settings that should lower the clock have been disabled:
The only other settings i can see are Real-Time Ratio Changes in Bios, which is disabled too and Turbo Boost which is also disabled. Do these settings have something to do with it or am i missing some other random setting somewhere? (all these settings are under Advanced CPU Settings)
Want to have a stable 4.6ghz that doesn't underclock

- CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E)

- CPU Thermal Monitor
- CPU EIST Function
