Core i7 and Maya render speeds?

Hi guys, just wanted to know if there was anyone out there that has an i7 chip and uses Maya or 3D studio Max, has it improved your render time by a great margin? would you say it is worth the cash over a quad?

Looks like quite a significant speed increase.
