a friend of mine said he has his core i7 running stable 24/7 at 6ghz, is this possible or is he just talking out of his waste hole ?
Even under phase, at the 1.6v+ that is likely needed even with a golden chip it'll degrade very quickly.
If he has a Sandybridge CPU that can do 6GHz then he has either the second or the third best SandyBridge CPU in the world. Currently there are only two over 6 GHz. Lucky him I say.
well i found out by snooping on his comp when he was out that its actually a core i7 980x clocked at 4.40GHZ.
Dont you just love proof lol
