just put together my new rig, temps read on real temp

core 0 34 degs
core 1 34
core 2 30
core 3 30

im using the corsair h50 water cooler.
are these temps typical or do you think i should re-apply artic silver paste after cleaning.

my q6600 had similar readings

Those temps are dead on, 99% of intel quad cores ive seen (and im on my 3rd) have all had differences between the cores.

line vs pea have very little difference. The former is likely to do better if the surfaces are uneven, the latter better if they're smooth. Doesn't matter.

The credit card/clingfilmed finger approach is out of favour at present.

Note that idle temperatures tell us close to nothing, as we don't know your room temperature. If you run ibt/prime 95 for a bit and report back those temperatures (you're hoping for under 90) then we'll be more confident as to whether the mount is good or not.

You have a nice processor there. Hope you're overclocking it.

Yes will be overclocking in the next few days after ive carried out some cable management and other duties shopping cleaning ect

Have done a quick custom pc benchmark 2007 and temps were
core 0 51 degs
1 51 degs
2 48 degs
3 48 degs
Any commments on these temps
Will carry out some prime tests in the next few days and post results
