Hi guys,

While im migrating my kit from a lianli 343b into a tj07 i have just had a though.

What waterblocks are recommended out there for the Core i7's at the moment.

Im currently using a XSPC Delta v3.

Is there anything better out there at the moment?

I have a D-Tek Fuzion sat doing nothing at the moment also as when i upgraded to core i7 there wasnt a conversion kit it. this has the quad nozzle fitted as well.

Cheers for any offers on advice

tbh matey unless you plan on wringing the neck of your i7 to squeeze every last MHz out of it & keeping it there, then theres not really much point in changing blocks, they all pretty much perform within a few degrees of each other.

Cheers for that VoG,

If im honest the XSPC isnt exactly the best looking block, is there anything that performs aswell but looks good then?

+1 Heatkiller Rev3.0

But...

Well lets put it this way guys,

My i7 920 is quite happly sat at 4.2ghz on my p6t deluxe, with the latest bios you can now set the cpu ratio to 21 ;)

So its quite a high clock for a 2.6ghz chip ;) looking at the heatkiller v3.0 looks quite nice, going to read a few reviews cheers guys

Did someone say bling ?

Ybris
Yellostone
Luna
G-Flow

:D:D

Edit:

Here's a comparison of the GTZ and Heatkiller Rev 3.0 that may not show up in Google yet. It's a test performed by non other than Swiftech themselves. I was hesitant about posting the link as to many contributors were throwing the toys out of their prams but reason returns about half way down page two, so...

Hmmm the first pics of the HK v3.0 looked really good, all copper top, but can only find a HK 3.0 that looks to have an Deralin top? (black)

Also seems the mouting kit is pretty ugly, harps back to the d-tek fuzion lol.

Hmm the swifty GTZ looks to have the best mounting kit of the bunch at the moment, also looks tidy.

Any other suggestions?

ecat canna see that site in ie8 lol throws a wobbly!

hey ecat,

just having a quick look at the swifty link now, cheers

That ybris stuff looks very nice, but have had a perspex top crack and leak on me before lol, so kinda stay clear of them now. But saying that i am eyeing up the kooland 295gtx block which also looks very nice. Would need to replace the blue lighting with orange though for what i am going to be doing, Have a thread in general hardware on what i am doing and will be creating a build log as i go along.

Cheers

JUst been throught the swifty thread on xs you linked, i like the fact that their open and accept criticism and such :)

From reading other reviews it is a good block. not as good as the HK V3.0 need to find the full copper top version. But then from the sounds of thinks the HK has a real poor installation.
