Core Speed in BIOS is different than the one in CPU-Z

BIOS says the core speed is 3200 Mhz and CPU-Z says its 1900 Mhz. Whats going on wrong?

Equipments:-

Asus Rampage II Extreme
Intel i7-920 D0 Stepping

Try loading the CPU and then checking it again.

When your CPU is idle it down clocks its self but as soon as you start playing games and ect you CPU loads back up to the speed it has been set at in bios.
Save the life of your CPU.

It's called SpeedStep for Intel chips and when your system is idle it'll just slow down to save power.
