Core speed jumping after torture test

Hi guys,
I ran Orthos to check my stability at stock settings, everything seemed fine.
But after that cpu-z is stating that my core speed is changing dramatically every few seconds.

Looks like the multi is changing every few seconds... I hope its just cpu-z playing up.

I rebooted and checked the bios, it said core was running at 2448mhz (what it should be) but cpu-z still says the same.

Bearing in mind this is only happening after I ran Orthos for 8 mins, what could be casuing this?

It's speedstep. Basically the multiplier changes to save energy/power, turn it off in the bios if you don't want it to happen.

But sorry to be a noob, I looked in the bios for speedstep and I couldnt find it, where would it be? thanks

Nevermind, disabled C1E and that seemed to do it, thanks for the help.

There's so many people that post about this you would think they have read some post about it with the ammount of people who post the same problem.
