Had some old parts knocking around and am about to go off to uni, so i put together a computer:

AMD X2 5000+
ASUS M2NPV-VM
4GB Geil PC5300 667MHz value RAM
WD 500gb SE16
BFG 7600 GT OC
Audigy 2zs

Basically I felt that at stock speed the cpu was running a bit slow. Windows just didnt feel right, so I started to increase the FSB, by small amounts. Anywho, when I go into the Bios, the CPU multiplayer is set to 13, and the FSB is set to about 216. The Bios says that I have 2800ghz. When I open Core Temp it displays the CPU frequency as "1080.10MHz (216.02*5.0). I dont understand how Core Temp (version 0.95.4 btw) can display something different to the Bios. Is this just a bug?
Thanks for any help

Yep must be a bug. CPU-Z should show the correct clock speed etc.

Also the temps reported by CoreTemp for the AMD AM2 Brisbane CPUs can't be relied upon.
