Hi everyone; I am a new member of this forum and require help in solving instability of my recent purchase. My system consists of ;
core i5 650
Asus P7P55D LE
Arctic cooling freezer 7 pro rev2 cpu cooler
2 x 2GB G.Skill F3-12800CL9D
radeon 5750
windows 7 64-bit
The computer was bought as overclocked taking the speed from 3.2 to 4.0GHz but it is very unstable in the overclocked condition. It is also unstable whenever I use default bios settings with either the Asus TurboV software enabled (ie software overclocked) or when I enable the Asus Q-fan control!! My main problems are"cpu fan error" messages and lots of blue screens primarily during start - up.
Once up and running the system normally runs fine (???).
The system has been back to the system builders but they just did what I have to regularly do - reset the bios to overclock and restart - and they tested for 24 hours without problems (idiots, I told them it was a start-up problem).
My main question concerns Core Temp which shows the following;
Tjmax 0 C
Core # 0 82 C to Tjmax Low 75C High 88C
Core # 1 86 C to Tjmax Low 75 High 90C
Does this indicate high or low running temperatures?
The Bios temp only shows about 30 C ???
Any help would be appreciated.

v high temps, i7's & i5 suggested max is 70 celcius max. BIOS temp will run lower as it is at idle when BIOS is running. sounds like it need better cooling

What CPU fan settings are used in BIOS ? Not familiar with the board but is it PWM ?

Just asking because the Pro7 rev2 I used for my brothers build when cold didnt spin up straight away till the temperature started to rise then after POST it would spin up ok. It should cool it better than stated. Have you tried reseating the Pro 7 ? It doesnt use Intel Push pins like the first one just a frame and two screws. You have to remove the fan to get at them perhaps making sure they are fully tightened ?

Also is it possible to set the CPU fan speed at a constant just to test ?
