Core Temp + P5N-E SLI

Just got a new cooler today for me birthday (Tuniq) + (to big for case...here comes some modding) and Core Temp keeps crashing while im Orthosing. I started off with the beta which worked fine before but was crashing! so tried the new version and its still the same.

What else can i use to measure the temps? apart from speedfan! as that isnt no where near correct.

core temp....dosnt matter if im stress testing or not...if thats what your getting at, will probably install asus probe and see what thats like...does it measure the core or the skt?

currently at 3.6ghz 1.457v 2.29 hrs and counting

ASUSProbe measures the socket. Try PC Wizard 2007, it measures the same values.

cheers for that...just installed the probe and saw it was the skt....

just to add core temp dosnt crash straight away takes a few minutes or maybe more. Will try the other on you just said.

Try turning off the temp logging on Coretemp, another alternative is the new version of Speedfan.
