Core Temp wrong frequency?

2.4 is indeed the stock frequency of an E6600. Do you have power saving features enabled, speedstep, c1e etc? Try placing the CPU under load and check in cpu's if the clock speed increases to 3.3ghz.

This is normal behaviour in system at least. Have you tried CPU-Z, this will show real time CPU clocks?

Ok, that is odd. Have you benchmarked the overclocked performance against stock performance? Is the BIOS up to date?

OK Used cinebench R15.
Run cpu test and got same number for both -/+2. (mem clock increase)
So looks like oc is not staying.
Would clearing BIOS with jumper help?

Well that fixed it. Cleared the CMOS with jumper.
Now back at 3.2.
Cinebench @ 2.4 = 113
Cinebench @ 3.2 = 151
No idea what that's means, but I can play Assassin's Creed again.
