Hi,

I'm just start to overclock my CPU (E2140) and have been using Speedfan. However, looking through the forum there seem to be large differences between Speedfan and Core Temp. I run Vista 64 and have tried downloading the link for those running Vista 64 but I still get an error messages. Any ideas? Or should I just use Speedfan, temps all seem V. Low at present, but I've only pushed it to 2.4GHz at present.

sorry just downloaded the link what tim put up extracted the files to a folder in my documents then ran the atsiv file then the alsysIo64,sys file then core temp file, then when i clicked the core temp file again it came up no probs, hope it helps

I've been slowly clocking my cpu this evening testing along the way. Wanted to check which temps I am supposed to be focusing on more, core temps or cpu temp and what's the difference as cpu temp allows seems to be lower which suprises my?

What sort of temps do people typically deam to be a safe core temp. I'm currently running at 60 on CoreTemp and 43 on Speedfan. Orthos running for 40mins shows 0 errors.

I would try to keep them between 60c and 70c during Orthos. Tho most ppl have their own safe limit.
