Hi everyone,
I have small problem with E8500 core temperatures on P5Q Deluxe. My processor have E0 stepping, and all core temperature measuring programs shows, that both cores stuck on 42C.CPU temperature are shown corectly.
I was thinking for over clocking that processor, but for that you have to know you core temperatures. Any one have same problem before and maybe have solution for that.
I have latest BIOS for that mobo, system is stable.Using XP pack3.
Thanks.

What programs are you using to measure the temperature?

Try RealTemp, but follow the calibration tips first.

Bear in mind that all the programs are as good (or bad) as the temperature reported by the CPU. The temperature is only accurate at close to the Tj max.

I was using Real temp, Core Temp, Speed fan - all the same, only Speed fan give to me 37C, but they stuck is well.
Can be Faulty CPU ?

My E8600 was or I should say has the same problem, at stock the temps stay at 36 & 37 deg c full load or part load.

Spoke to Intel and ask for a RMA all thay kept saying is I should talk to the vendors of the software core temp, real temp, HW monitor, Everest and also ask Gigabyte to check for any possible problems or updates regards the BIOS.

Gave up in the end, overclocked the cpu to 4.4ghz with 1.33v and I now get temperature movement of 10c~.

You saying that I have to forget the that core temperatures and go for over clock ?
By the way, that will be my first attempt to do that… any suggestions ?

use white thermal paste and drop small amount and then spread all the core area very thinner and then install heatsink that what i do that - it keep low than 35oC - it stay 19oC <> 28oC all time. I dont leave wee drop in the middle and then put on heatsink - better spread all the core very thinner.

I used X2 6400+ with Cool N` Quiet

My shows on idle 22C. I think is good enough ..

hi mate, i have just O/C my E8500 to 3,8ghz-1600fsb-1,28V runs as good as Liona sings, lol
odle temp 34C, full load 45C...i use intel stock cooler.

as you have same E8500 i can give you SETTINGS and you will try and see what happens, but everything should be fine...

Thanks for all, I will try when have time, my AI Lock twister set to performance…no problem.
Video card is fine, I did some testing’s – they are good….well I think. I find out that cart is very silence, and on load 68 C, but no problem because custom cooler.
Look there…only wiring is not professional.. but I happy what I have…

heh...i am from Latvia :)
ok, when you try it, let me know.

PS. how to ad this information about computer's specs? ( you gave with red color)

Nice to see some neighbours there, try to go to your user profile and look for signature, just add there what you want.. that’s it..
