Just runnign Aida64 trial but noticed on other software too.
The readign for "CPU temp" is aroudn 42 degrees where as the individual CPU cores all hover around 68 - 70 degrees. Whats going on?

Now my CPU is at 50 and cores at 80. I'm new to this, can anyone explain? What should i be paying attention to? I just presumed CPU temp was an average of the cores.

I'll have a look. Package temp is lower and I'm at 4.5ghz 1.236v. My temps are high because I run a quiet fan. This is a compromise I'm happy to make as this pc covers htpc duties in the front room alongside gaming and photo work.

Any news?

With water cooling mine reacts rather differently, i ran realbench for a bit and copied temps from hwinfo64.
............................Current.......Minimum.....Maximum
Core Max...................21...............17.............46
Cpu Package..............22...............19.............48

Cpu package temp reacts a lot slower than core temps but genrally is around the same temp, might be down to water cooling though.

Mines water cooler too on a 240mm AIO

Still no answer then :s
