Core temps with Antec 920

Hi,

I've noticed 1 core is typically hotter under load.

I used the pre-applied paste and had now cleaned it off with isopropanol and applied a large grain of rice size Artic Silver 5 in the middle of the i7 3820 chip.

Can't comment on paste quality (or application job!), but the same core is still much hotter under load.

Any ideas? Does it matter?

See below.....at idle they are all the same. But the max is bigger on 1 core.

Wouldn't worry, I've had up to 10c difference on my i7 2700k, annoying but not a problem.

As above, ignore it, all my chips have had a variation between the cores.

I get a similar thing with my 3570K using a TC14PE, it is just something you have to live with unfortunately.
