For an Intel Core i5 2500K 3.30ghz OC'd to 4.4k are these better than average core temps for idle? ( just wondering so I can turn my antec top fan off cuz its noisy as hell)

You only really need to worry about load temperatures.

My 2600K idles in the low 30's.

I'll keep an eye on it when I'm next gaming then.

I will be running it at 4.4ghz soon once I buy my new PSU so I hope the temps don't go too high.

I think maybe I made a mistake using the included thermal paste with my A50 ? I actually had some AS5 with me but decided to use the included A50 paste instead ...

My heatsink assembly didn't go very smoothly either, I reseated it like 3 times so the paste was a bit of a mess after all that faffing around...probably not evenly spread.

Maybe I'll wipe off the current paste and redo it with some AS5 instead when I install my new PSU.

what games do you play stulid?

Anything and everything,

Crysis
Call of dutys
Medal of honours
Wolfenstein
Mirrors edge
Dead space 1+2
Batman Akrham Asylum
Bioshock 1+2
Fear 1+2
Mass effect 1+2
Metro 2033
Empire total war
Fallout 3 + new vegas
Supreme Commander
X3

I cant possibly list them all

I got so many its shocking.

Try intel burn test (max setting) at 4.4ghz. If your pc doesn't shut down, you're probably alright. It pushed mine to 71 degrees.

That seems spot on from the other results I have seen on the web and using your cooling.

Frag on.
