When I try to run the ram at the recommended speeds I get system hangs download errors and entry point errors. Also CPUz shows the timings at 718 even though i've set it to 667 in the BIOS.

Anyone else running this ram with CORE2, did you manage to set it to 4-4-4-12 and have it run ok?

I have set the BIOS to enable flexibility and it has changed timings to 533

as show in my screenshot
http://www.kronos1.org/datas/users/2-memtest.jpg

Can anyone explain why it's saying FSB:DRAM is 1:2 when it's running at 533Mhz? Since it's dual channel should I choose 166 in bios instead of 333?

If I leave it on auto it give me 718Mhz 4-4-4-12 and no end of errors including memtest errors. :(

just a question i know that on some motherboard the ram doesn't default to it's normal voltage, have you tried increasing the ram volts?
Yeah, the Geil needs 2.1v to run at it's rated speed.

At stock speed (266fsb), a cpu/ram divider of 1:2 gives you 266:533, DDR 1066Mhz (2x533) which is well over the rated speed of 800Mhz.

At stock fsb, a 2:3 divider is what you need to run the ram at 800Mhz.

2:3 = 266:400, DDR 800Mhz (2x400)

You need to set vdimm to 2.1v to get 4-4-4-12 @ 800Mhz
