Have been an Amd and Nvidia fanboy ever since i got my current rig (Athlon xp3200+ and Nvidia 6600gt - extreme ! LOL)

But now with the core2s around, when i upgrade at christmas i fancy a core2 but want so stick with Sli but am finding it hard to find a motherboard with this setup.

Also, should i go with an nvidia chipset to go with the GPUs or an intel chipset to go with the CPU ? actually, Do intel make a chipset that supports Sli ? all i can seem to find is crossfire !

Thanks guys, really need to sort out my CPU, Chipset, Graphics combo then everything else should fall into place nicely !

sorry for the n00bicity !

At the moment you'll need to buy a nvidia chipset board if you want to run SLi along side a Core2Duo, all the intel chipsets are for Crossfire. However, there are some hacked drivers for the bad axe to allow you to run SLi, so you could look into that to see if they still work.

Edit: There are supposed to be some nVidia SLi boards coming out, I saw some previews but I don't know if any have seen the light of day yet.

ah excelent, where can i get some info on this chipset ?? should be reasonably well established by christmas im thinking, yes ?
