Core2Duo or Core2Quad?

Mate is trying to decide whether to go for something like a Q9300 or an E8600.

He will be using the system for gaming but he often runs 3 seperate Eve Online clients over 3 monitors.

Which CPU is right for him?

I would say the Quad for definite if he is running the 3 separate clients.
