Im in the process of doing a limited (cash constrained) upgrade to my pc. The current Antec Sonata case has gone, due to poor airflow, and is to be replaced with an Antec 300, mainly due to the passive cooler on my ATI 4870. The IP35 runs a 6750 c2d with a Tuniq Tower 120 cooler.

Would this case/cooler/motherboard be ok if I was to upgrade the cpu to a quad core 9550? I dont want to overclock, nor have I tried to as I dont want to be without a PC if something goes wrong. After buying the new case and a few fans I can only really afford either the faster cpu or a new graphics card.

Advice most definately welcome.

The IP35-Pro doesn't officially support E0 stepping chips. There is a beta BIOS out there that does fix this in some cases but there's still a chance that they won't work.

I flashed with that BIOS this morning, but I don't have the chip yet. If you don't hear from me for a while...
