Hi, I'm not sure either version of coretemp provides the correct temps for M0 revision E 21xx cpus. A user at the coretemp forum is reporting that when underclocking his 21xx cpu, coretemp 0.96.1 is indicating a temperature below ambient. This is of course impossible.

What coretemp does display correctly for these chips, and it doesn't matter what version you are using, is how far below the Tjunction max of your chip you are. Simply put, the Tjunction max is the thermal cutoff point intel has programmed into the processor, and is the point at which it will shut down to avoid damaging the core. 73°c in coretemp 0.96 and 58°c in coretemp 0.96.1 are both 27° below this point and this is the figure you should pay attention to. Personally I always try to stay at least 25°c under this level at full load, some people claim 20° is fine for overclocking, I don't know for sure.
