One of my favourite comedians, another victim of Covid sadly. Such a great shame, he was a lovely man, and whether you liked his comedy or not, he really put Cornwall on the map.

I had the pleasure of seeing him live a couple of years ago, during the break he came out with everyone else to have a drink and meet and greet everyone.

RIP Jethro.

That's sad, I saw him at Watford Colloseum years ago and had no idea who he was at the time, his comedy style appealed to me straight away!

Noooo, my favourite comedian and a fellow Cornishman. He will be missed so much in Cornwall. He was more a comic story teller than a stand up comedian and I have literally had tears running down my face with the laughter and joy he has given me over the years. One of my favourite ones is the one where he is on the bus and a big woman smelling of swarfega sits next to him and asks if he thought anyone would notice if she broke wind.

gutted! being from Cornwall it was always nice to hear a Cornish voice on the telly growing up! Train still doesn't stop at Camborne on a Wednesday!

Oh that’s sad, from Covid too. Not too familiar with his stuff but he did seem to be very funny. :(

It's worth checking him out, there's a lot of full length videos of his shows on Youtube to watch.

I think it's more the way he says things than what he says sometimes. One of the few clean videos I can find to post:

He was a down to earth guy, like one of those eccentric characters you meet in certain pubs.

Usually telling a story you only half understand but get carried away by the way he tells it.

RIP

I can certainly understand all the Cornish people expressing their liking of him, I guess that he was their answer to Londoners laughing uproariously at Micky Flanagan, he sounds like us, and speaks about things that we are familiar with.
I’d only seen Jethro in WhatsApp clips sent to me, and if asked, I’d have said that he sounded like he had a Somerset accent.
I guess that Londoners find it difficult to differentiate too much between a Somerset, Devon, or Cornwall accent, while to West Country people, Londoners mostly sound alike.
