Coronation Street's John Savident (Fred Elliott) has died aged 86

Shame to see that John Savident has died. It was a good character in Coronation Street. I was also watching reruns of Doctor Who recently and noticed he was in an episode.

He's been in quite a few programmes over the years.

What is interesting is his accent in corrie is opposite to his real accent.

Fantastic part he played in Corrie, quite hilarious at times. I also recall seeing him in an episode of Blakes 7.
