Hi guys,

Been asked to look into a VNC solution for some 200 users. We currently run a citrix environment but users need access to some local apps and sites so we cant support them with these through the citrix session.

What do you guys suggest? We're looking for something free to be honest but i know theres tons of decent free apps out there so there must be something.

Ideally we need to be able to push it out using RES.

Cheers

Dameware is very popular due to it's easy of use but you could go for Remote Assistance if you have XP / Vista / Active Directory.

I configured it for the support team at my last place. They prefered it to VNC.

Some of us that will need to control the users on the floors run Vista. Obviously if theres something we can utilise which is 'built in' already then that would be great.

But yeah, have i missed something regarding Remote Assistance with Vista?

Cheers

Also slightly off topic..

Has anyone tested Lanview3 on a virtual box and had it run succesfully? I can connect and gain control however i cant view the screen with the VNC option.

I tried 3 virtual pcs on 3 different boxes and they all were listed with the same MAC address and IP ?
