I recently purchase a Leadtek Winfast 7600GS AGP 256MB graphics to replace a ATi Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB card, then ran 3DMark2001SE benchmark test for both:

1) Leadtek Winfast 7600GS AGP 256MB = 12,312
2) ATi Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB = 13,555

My core system is:
Shuttle SN45Gv2
AMD Sempron 2600+ Socket A
2 x 512MB DDR400 Ram
WD 200GB ATA100 HD
Windows XP Pro

As you can see, the older graphics card seems faster, is this right  ?

Is the AMD Sempron 2600+ causing a bottleneck to the 7600GS card?

Thanks for any replies.

It should obliterate it :\

Try running 2003 or 2005 as 2001 is known to be more of an overall system bench rather than one just for graphics cards.

Also, your sig is one line too deep. Maximum of 4 lines of consecutive text I'm afraid.

Tried the usual suspects like vsync and image quality?

I've found that with recent nvidia cards, they perform worse in 2001 than an ati equivalent

2003 / 2005 should show up the differences between the two cards
