Correct config? - 3 HDD 1 Optical on SATA

Hi guys,

I'm running a P5K Premium (P35) ICH9 on Vista x64. Running AHCI mode.

My primary drive is a 150gb RaptorX
I also have a 500gb Spinpoint in there for less commonly used programs.
I just added a 1.5tb WD Caviar Green.

I also have a Samsung DVDRW on Sata.

Having read the manual, it'd seem that the red sata ports are primary ones and black ones are slave.

I have added everything on primary ports. My question is whether this will affect performance of my main drive. Should I be putting my 1.5tb drive on a slave sata port.

I've had some instability since installing my greenpower and my sata burner isn't working as well (more coasters) but this could be because the burner was on its way out anyway.

There should be no difference between the ports, SATA has no concept of Master & Slave. However some board manufacturers seem to have done something to their SATA implementations which mean it's not possible to boot from the "slave" ports.
