correct size tubing

right something is defo up then, I just wanted to make sure I had ordered the correct size tubing and it appears I have. the fittings look way to big for the tubing.

by that I mean the outer diameter.
normly when you use compression fittings the collarfits snugly over the tubing. the chain gun fittings seam like they are like 10-20 mm to large.

I have now actually done a test fitting with the tubing I bought.

The tubing is a nice tight fit over the barb, so tight in fact I had to warm the tubing up in a cup of hot water so I could actually get the tubing over the barb.

The hosing then appears to look a lot better with hte fitting screwed on but......
The locking collar does right up as apposed to only doing up so far and meeting resistance is this normal?
This is the first time I have used this tubing normally I have bought other tubing.

I can do that, but it appears it is not putting any stress ont eh tubing, ie clamping down on the tubing. if you know what I mean. and the collar does right up until it touches the last thread, and that is nto even struggling.

can you not put a bit of water in the res and join the pump up to it and do a pressure test of it to check for leaks?

Hey thanks for the reply.

I do not have all of the new parts yet. im ordering bits and pieces atm, with the final big wad of parts at the end of the month.

I just happened to have most of my fittings and some tubing I ordered the same time I ordered my cpu block.

And I looked at the tubing, then looked at the fittings, and thought I had ordered the incorrect tubing, hense my post here.

This isn't the first time I have water cooled, I have done several builds before, but this time, im doing a fairly expensive one, ie no bars hold type kit.

And hense my experience of using cheaper compression fittings.

When you do up the collar on say ek fittings, the collar will nto do up all the way it will stop part way down. this is not happening with the monsoon chainguns. and was wandering if this was normal with that type of fittings.

But thanks for you input, would love it if anyone else has noticed what I have

I have exact same size tubing and would recommend going for something smaller if you need more of a bend, the thicker walled tubes are more resistant to bend and over time you'll have to check the fittings, you might need to get adapters for certain bends, idk about the rest of you guys but Ive also had some stock issues when ordering fittings of that size.

But if it works for you then great! :)
