Could somebody please post up a link or the info on how to upgrade to new Nvidia drivers in the best way please. I have used ati for so long that I have no idea what to do with nvidia.

I haven't bothered to upgrade the drivers on my home PC for a long time now(I'm still using 80.xx or something) but usual suggestion is to uninstall them, run driver cleaner to remove all remnants and then install the new drivers if you want a totally clean install. I however tend to just run the new install over whatever else I previously had and I've yet to have any problems doing that.

uninstall from settings/control panel/add or remove programs
reboot in safe mode.
run "driver cleaner 3" remove nvidia drivers.
reboot and install new drivers.
reboot.

thats how i always do it :)

i just install over the top and have done for the past few years.
i have never had a problem.
in the old days you had to uninstall etc etc, but not anymore now they write the driver installer properly.

I just install over the top too unless I am changing from ATi to Nvidia or something then I would run driver cleaner.

It depends if you can be bothered doing it the long, old-fashioned way or the quick shortcut. It seems now there are 2 ways to do it:

1) Just install new drivers over your current ones, or
2) Uninstall current drivers through Control Panel Add/Remove programs, reboot into "Safe Mode" and then use Driver Cleaner Pro to remove all traces of the drivers that remain, then after that reboot back to normal Windows and install new drivers.

Depends if you got the time to do that each time
