Correctly setting up a domain?

Hi.

I purchased a domain and I need to configure DNS I believe so that I can access it via the www.domain.com rather that ip address/domain which is how I currently do.

However, I have no idea how to do this.

I've registered the domain via www.pipeten.com, but not sure if the settings are on there or on the cpanel on the server, I can't find any settings.

Any ideas?

Are the nameservers set to the domain correct? (i.e. matching the ones given to you via your web host)

It seems like configuration would be accessible through logging into https://domains.pipeten.com/ - though I've not used them so I don't know! If you can't find anything, ask pipeten as it's registered through them.
