Hi All,

I have recently got my first Mac and posted a few threads asking for various information, however I thought the topic of syncing with Google may need its own thread (as I suspect it isn't that straight forward).

I use Google Mail, Calendar and Contacts on my iPhone and it syncs flawlessly, however I am finding the sync is not as effective on the Mac.

After playing around with it all for some time my Mail/Notes seems to be synching correctly, however whilst Calendars and Contacts seem to sync correctly across all devices whenever I add new contacts or appointments on any device (iPhone, Mac or via Google), when I delete them they seem to only delete locally.

Any ideas on why this is? Any way around this?

And as it is bound to be mentioned I am avoiding relying on iCloud as I do not want to change email address. I find benefit in having my Contacts/Email from the same provider (so I can save contacts from emails and auto complete when sending mails etc etc) so unless anyone know a workaround for this?

Thanks for any help
