Corrupt BIOS and BSOD on Start Up

So yesterday after I updated my drivers and downloaded Far Cry 4, Windows decided to install some updates when I shut down my PC.

When I tried to boot up my PC today ready to play some Far Cry 4 I got something along the lines of "corrupt BIOS", which seemed to fix itself just fine, but afterwards, as soon as I try to boot into Windows, I get a BSOD. I can't even get into Safe Mode, and Start Up repair will just not work. I tried an earlier restore point (before drivers, and way earlier), but to no avail.

Diagnosis seems to be throwing up the following error messages: 0x0, 0x490.

What should I do from the point? I would really like to try and attempt to fix this, as I have many files important to me which I would not like to loose (I should really start to back up more often :()

Any help appreciated, thanks.

What your PC spec?

Not good news, error 0x490 mean files in your Windows directory are corrupted.

Try open Command Prompt in Admin and type in "sfc /scannow" without quote that will attempt to repair and restore Windows files.
