Purchased my macbook pro back in december 2008, noticed today the corrupt display issue, it lasted for about 10 seconds and it's happened twice today, battery was fully charged and running off AC.

Was using the on-board graphics.

Since owning the macbook pro I use it everyday for at least 8 hours, have it set to the 9400M, last month I created 5 60min dvd's using a panasonic hd camcorder, imovie and idvd so I had set the macbook pro to use the 9600M, it got hot but never noticed any issues.

I set the macbook pro back to the 9400M and it was fine until today, the macbook pro wasn't even hot when I had the issue.

Was it after playing quick time? Pink squares stuck "on top" after too many overlapping layers/quick time windows or semi transparent terminals on top of video windows happens on macs ever since i can remember, all the way back to G3. Usually killing quick time process and opening something like VLC full screen helps.

Edit, just looked at the endgadget pic, wow, looks like laptops will have another shot nvidia chipset on their hands (who can forget the 8600m fiasco)

I was browsing overclockers forums at the time it happend, no other app was running, I could tell something was not right and when I minimised firefox I thought what the ****. My desktop wallpaper is 70% white so the whole screen was this corrupt pink.

I've got 3 years warranty so not to worry.
