Corrupt font or what?

After installing a whole bunch of fonts I have somehow managed to mess up something along the line as when I go to some websites, the font is all messed up, most obvious of which is the twitter website:

Now I've copied the fonts folder from another windows 7 machine to hopefully overwrite a corrupt font but it hasn't made any difference.

I'm not entirely sure what I've done but anyone got any other suggestions?

Try right clicking and installing the fonts, not at a win 7 PC just now but it doesn't sound like it's actually installed them yet.

Tried that, it just states the fonts are already installed but I let it reinstall them, still no joy :/

It seems like the "default" font for chrome/firefox which I think is arial? but I've replaced that, not to mention the .ttf preview looks fine.

Does it do it in other user accounts on the machine?

Strange... I checked it on my normal account, it was knackered, created a new account, logged on and checked there and it looked fine, logged back in to my normal account and now it's fine??!

If it worked in another account I was going to suggest using a new account instead, strange that it fixed your main one!

Yea I don't know what is going on, seems like it was being cached somewhere.
