Corrupt jpg headers

I have the onerous task of attempting to recover some pictures that, surprise surprise, haven't been backed up.

I've managed to retrieve the data, but the images aren't opening and I suspect it's down to corrupt jpeg headers.

Anyone have any suggestions as to whether there are any programs that will attempt to recover the data as I'm at a loss!

Have you tried PhotoRec to recover the images? Worth a shot.
