Corrupt SD card - HELP! !

Hey lads,
i have a BIG problem.
i wanted to back up my images from my camera to my PC today, and when i plugged the SD card into the reader it went mad !. 4 removable drives appeared on the PC and none were accessible, i tried 3 different methods fo reading the card and every attempt resulted the same.

when i put the car back in the camera it just said my card needed to format.

i have some priceless pictures that i Must obtain. is there any way to recover something like this ?

Please reply with any suggestions.

Its a 'Klick photopoint' 256mb SD card btw

**edit** ive managed to get about the last 14 pictures ive taken, which is better than nothing ! byt puttign the card in my camera and transferign via the camera / software

There are certain data recovery progs around on the net that'll try to restore the files. I don't know which ones work the best. Have a gander on google.

I've tried a demo for 'recover my files' which will show you exactly which files it can recover but requires a purchase to physically save them to disk.

THANK YOU !!!!! that program is simply excelent !
Really thanks very much for posting that. ive managed to recover all the lost pictures. it took me a while to work out how to use that program, but its worked wonders.

I pretty upset to think that all my pictures of artwork and Christmas / new year were gone. but the pics are safe now so thanks again !

Funny even being in computers and telling people to back up constantly, I still mess up every now and then and pay the price.
