After logging on first thing this morning a user found that there 'Documents' are not in there default documents folder, on inspection it seems that XP decided the user profile was corrupt at log on and created a set of 'Temp Folders' for the user,
He still has access to his real 'documents folder' etc etc so it knows it is him but will not log in with his settings, just logs in to the temp profile.
I have made a copy of his documents folder to be safe.
Then decided to remove the user from the PC, rename user folder, reboot, re-add user,
Log back in as him expecting it to act like a new user's first log in
But no it has logged him back in as Temp again.
It will not allow me to delete the temp user folder, although i can delete everything inside.
Can anyone suggest what to try to get him back as a normal user rather than logged in as this Temp user ?
Thanks
